2011 – I Fagiolini’s 25th Anniversary
In 2011, I Fagiolini celebrates 25 years since its first concert series at Oxford’s Holywell Music Room.
In March we will be touring the UK through ‘Music In The Round‘ with a mix of Renaissance and contemporary music for 6 voices: Janequin’s birdsong extravaganza (staged), Monteverdi madrigals, nostalgia by Milhaud, a thrilling new work by Orlando Gough as well as a few vocal soufflés to remind us of our youth.
We will also be bringing back Tallis in Wonderland, our project with Dutch company Artery, which explores Renaissance polyphony more profoundly than is possible in a conventional concert. (See the short film at the link above).
We will also be working on a series of concerts in London (details to come).
